Program Options

Dimitrakopoulos Test Prep Center offers programs all year round. All programs are personalized according to the student's needs and schedule. Programs begin every academic quarter: Fall, Winter, Spring, and a Summer Intensive program consisting of accelerated summer sessions. Summer group sessions are intensive private and small group sessions with mock testing. Limited space is available, therefore sign up early to reserve a seat in one of our specialized programs. There is no better time than the present! Attend one of our SAT, ACT, TOEFL, or IELTS sessions before the school year starts again.

Group Sessions (up to 5 students)

Sessions are organized into small groups of 2-5 students with similar skill levels. They receive attention from highly qualified instructors who adapt to the student’s learning style, prep needs and goals. Students have the opportunity to interact in a powerful cooperative group learning environment. Time is spent in a small group setting; however, individual attention and separate work is given in order to encourage growth.

Sessions meet weekly and will be organized by subject and level.

Small group sessions are beneficial in creating an environment that encourages growth and allows for student interaction.

The small group-tutoring program offers:

  • Full-length diagnostic examination with score reports to assess progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Cooperative small group learning activities
  • Test preparation materials
  • A final full-length mock with score reports given prior to the official test with score reports.

*Group Changes
If a student excels in a group that he/she is placed in, there will be an opportunity to change groups during the following season.

Private Sessions

Personalized sessions working at increasing skill levels catered to student’s personal needs.
Students can choose to have a one-on-one session before entering a group setting or after being part of one to finalize preparation for test taking.

The private tutoring program offers:

  • Full-length diagnostic examination with score reports to assess progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Personalized lessons focusing on areas that need improvement
  • Test preparation materials
  • A final full-length mock with score reports given prior to the official test.

Online Sessions

Personalized sessions via distance learning that is catered to the student's skill level. Students will receive digital workbooks and exercises to review with their instructors, as well as additional material for independent study.

The private tutoring program offers:

  • Personalized lessons focusing on areas that need improvement
  • Test preparation materials

Testing Package

Mock practice tests help students to be ready for their official exam by offering them the opportunity to take a similar test which is timed and graded in the same manner as the official test.  This service helps students practice their testing strategies, improve their test-taking skills, and help familiarize them with the time limits to appropriately manage their stress.  The tests are administered by qualified proctors who adhere to strict time constraints and guidelines to stimulate an official exam.

The testing package program offers:

  • Up to 8 mock exams per season
  • Score reports to assess progress and identify areas for improvement

Frequently Asked Questions

We recommend early preparation to begin in September of a student’s 10th grade year, or standard preparation that begins in the Summer before entering 11th grade.

Register for an upcoming official SAT through the College Board website by creating an account and following the registration steps.

Although students may take the SAT several times, we recommend a student takes the official test 2-3 times.

This decision depends on the strengths and weaknesses of each student. Our team can help you choose the right test by first considering your interests in literature, science, and math and how well you perform in these subjects before deciding which test is right for you. You will be given two diagnostic tests, one for the SAT and one for the ACT. We will then discuss your score results on both tests and finally decide which test best suits you.

Absolutely. One of the most important steps in the preparation process is knowing your strengths and weaknesses. The diagnostic test will help our team create a personalized program to make sure you are focusing on the skills you need to improve your test scores.
